GERUNDS AND INFINITIVES
We use gerunds :
a) after expressions like: can’t stand, feel
like, don’t mind, prefer.
b) after some
verbs: like, hate, enjoy, love, avoid.
c) Gerunds can function as the subject of a sentence.
d)
after a preposition.
We use infinitives:
a) Some adjectives
are followed by an infinitive.
b) Certain verbs
such as want, decide, need, agree, promise are followed by an infinitive.
